Champion of Characters Virtues: Kimber Holt is a great student-athlete who excels both in the classroom and on the court. This year she was our volleyball team's captain not because she was the "most popular" player but because she treated everyone with the respect they deserved. In return the players hold a tremendous amount of love and respect for her. Kimber stands up for what is RIGHT not what is in style or accepted in today's society. She is not afraid to confront those who may not be choosing to adhere to the rules created by the team, institution or conference. Kimber's true gift is her ability to talk to her teammates and to discuss with them in a loving and caring way that does not feel confrontational. As a coach, we all dream of players like Kimber who are the first one to arrive at the gym and the last to leave at the end of the day. She is a silent leader whose actions speak louder than any words that could ever be spoken. Currently Kimber is taking 18 academic hours, coaching a club volleyball team, attending 8 hours of educational practicum work each week while making it to all scheduled weight and team practices, maintaining academic excellence with all "A's", and planning a wedding this year. Her dedication to her team and teammates is admirable. Each and every player knows that they can go to Kimber for anything and she will listen, give advice, and most importantly never judge.

Name: Aaron Greenwood
Sport: Basketball
Classification: Senior
Years attending Institution: 2005-Present
Major: Sports Management
GPA: 3.8 (Two-time NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete)
Community Service: As Faulkner's Student Government Association president, Aaron has been involved in numerous community service projects, including a volunteer role with the Special Olympics, as well as heading up the mentor/mentee program with the Inner City Church. Also, Aaron has spearheaded many food and blood drives on campus.
On the Court Excellence: A part-time starter, Aaron averaged in double figures during Faulkner's run to the Fab Four in the 2007 NAIA national. For his career, Aaron scored 568 points and grabbed 324 rebounds. He was the team captain his senior season.
Champion of Characters Virtues: Aaron Greenwood is an excellent example of a true student-athlete. Not only is he twice honored as an academic All-American, but has been on the University's Dean's List three times and the President's List twice. His peers selected him as SGA president his senior year, and his teammates selected him team captain. He is the regular leader of the team's Bible studies. Both on and off the court, Aaron has consistently been the "go to guy'' for Faulkner. The NAIA's Champions of Character initiative seemingly could have been written around Aaron's personal traits - throughout his four years here he has displayed incredible respect, responsibility, integrity and servant leadership. On a consistent daily basis, he has been a wonderful leader as a student, as an athlete and, most importantly, as a person.
