Faulkner TV show takes flight

     The inaugural edition of Faulkner Sports Weekly, the Eagles' weekly television show, was filmed Monday at G2 Productions in Montgomery.  The 30-minute show will debut Wednesday night, Aug. 29, at 10:30 on WRJM-TV My 67. The show will air each Wednesday night in this time slot throughout Faulkner's athletic year and will also air on Frazer Christian Television at 10:30 Friday nights. The show will highlight Faulkner athletics, as well as other happenings around campus. The inaugural show included an interview with Faulkner athletic director Brent Barker, head football coach Jim Nichols and Faulkner vice president for student services Joey Wiginton.

     "This new television venture should bring a lot of excitement to our university as well as a great deal of visibility to our mission," said show host Doug Amos, Faulkner's assistant athletic director for media relations and marketing. "Our athletic and academic successes, as well as other excellent on-campus programs are well documented. We plan to showcase it all on this program."

     Faulkner hopes to have the television show available for viewing online the Thursday morning following its original air date.

     A weekly radio show, Faulkner This Week, debuts Thursday, Aug. 30, at 6 pm on WLWI-AM1440. The one-hour radio program, as well as all Faulkner football and basketball games, can also be heard online at www.faulkner.edu.
