The Visitor Information Center, called the VIC, is perhaps the smallest building on campus, but it packs a lot into its eight hundred square feet of space. It's total value is estimated at around twenty thousand dollars.
The VIC is the first and most visible indication of Faulkner University's twenty-four hour Security force under Director Chris Mulkey. It is located at the front entrance of the university's main campus, and while not Security's central office, it might be considered its eyes and ears. The VIC provides twenty-four hour, seven day a week video surveillance of what enters and exits Faulkner's main entrance. A security guard is also on duty all day, all night, seven days a week during the academic school year, throughout the summer, and all holidays.
In addition to its job as a Security office, the Vistor Information Center is also equipped to provide students and visitors with any basic information they might need concerning the university.
