Biography: While I was born up north I have spent most of my adult life in the south and really do love the south. I have been at Faulkner since 2000. We started the Great Books Honors program and I am so blessed to be able to daily be with wonderful students, great ideas, and rich conversations.
Program/Department: Great Books Honors College
Extracurricular Interests and Associations: Reading, walking, Lost and 24. Not always in that order with the same degree of interest.
Why did you choose Faulkner University? I had been out of teaching for a few years and they had an opening in the College of Arts and Sciences.
What do you like best about Faulkner University? The delightful, highly motivated academic students I get to work with who never surprise me with the things they can accomplish when encouraged.
What advice would you give to prospective students? Come here mainly to grow closer to God spiritually, and come to the university prepared to glorify God with your academic studies and all the other things will come together.
What have you learned while teaching at Faulkner University? Since I have been here I have learned that if you work with the right people in the right manner then amazing things can happen.
What is your most memorable moment at Faulkner University? It happens at the beginning and end of every year when I see and hear students speak so positively about their experience in the Great Books program.
