Another Success Story: I chose Faulkner University to study Elementary Education because I heard of its program specifically, and I had wanted to get a Christian education. During my four years at Faulkner University I was taught, encouraged, and challenged. I was taught how to teach content areas, how to manage a classroom, and how to teach character education. The professors and teachers at Faulkner University always let me share my experiences with them from my substituting job that allowed me to work in more than 30 elementary schools. The faculty were always available to listen and to give me advice. During my first year of teaching I have felt extremely well prepared. My students state test scores were excellent at mid-year, and we are waiting to take our end-of-year tests currently. I have been very pleased with my evaluation scores showing many areas of strength and that my lessons and teaching demonstrate excellence. I feel it was Faulkner University that helped to prepare me to be ready for anything that I encountered in my first year of teaching and the rest of my career. I am very proud that Faulkner University is now an NCATE accredited school, as of Fall, 2006, and this prestigious title gives evidence that the education that we receive here at Faulkner University is second to none.
