Faulkner University

Biography: This is my fifth year at Faulkner University. I am completing my degree as an elementary education major. I am the oldest or 15 grandchildren so younger children have been a big part of my life. They are part of the reason why I am at Faulkner. I feel that God has blessed me with the ability to love and teach. I hope to spend a big part of me life teaching school and Bible classes at church. I am scheduled to graduate in May of 2006. After that I plan on getting my Masters in Early childhood Education and eventually getting married to Nick Carlisle.

Program/Department: Elementary Education

Extracurricular Interests and Associations: For the past five years I have been an active memeber of SAEA, including serving as president and vice present. I love to hunt and would rather be out fishing than shopping. I also enjoy cooking and reading. When I am not at work or school I spend time with Nick and my little brothers Noah and David.

Why did you choose Faulkner University? Because I felt that being in a Christian environment was very important. I prayed and talked it over with my family and other Faulkner students and decided that this was the best place I could come to school. Charlie Knapp set me up a tour and I have been here ever since. Chosing Faulkner was the best decision I could have ever made. I feel very blessed to be here and love everyone in my Faulkner Family.
