Sample Schedule

Your schedule will vary Monday through Friday based on your assigned instructor.  The following schedule is a sample that will provide you information on the classes that will be conducted, activities that will take place, and information that will be gleaned from this class.  Please note that the President's Reception and the Dinner Theater will require Sunday dress.  All other activities will follow the university's dress code.

Saturday, Aug. 9
10 a.m. - 3 p.m.   Move-In Day for those students who will be living on campus It's move-in day. Bring your trailers, your trucks, your vans and everything you will need!
All other students need to attend the 4:30 meeting.
4:30 - 5:00 Mandatory Meeting with Dean of Arts & Science and Director of Academic Success Bring one parent and  yourself to the Rotunda Auditorium
5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Welcome Reception Bring your family and join us in the gym for a welcome reception
6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Meet your instructor Join your instructor and meet your classmates.
7:30 p.m. - ??? Student/Mentor Night Out

Your mentors will lead you into the fun world of college social life, taking you out for the evening.

10:30 p.m Devo
Sunday, August 10
8:00 a.m. Breakfast in the cafeteria Don't miss out. 
9:00 a.m. Worship Services at area congregations. Times will vary by congregation.
12:30 p.m. Lunch
2:00 p.m. Making College Count

Sponsored by Monster.com, this exciting presentation will kick off our week of activities.

4:00 p.m Dinner Pick up your box lunch immediately following the Making College Count program.  It's from Jason's Deli, so don't miss out.

7 a.m. Rise and shine.  You are off to the ropes course! Don't miss out.  Busses leave at 7:30 a.m.
3:00 p.m. Return from the ropes course.
6:00 p.m. Stevi B's for dinner & a movie at the Rave Motion Picture Theater.

8:00 a.m. Breakfast Don't be late. Devo begins at 8:45.
9:00 a.m. Classtime What is Faulkner?  What is character education?  What is Faith and the Academy?  How do these topics apply to me?
10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Inventories--Learning styles, personality, career assessment Think you know who you really are?  Find out what your inner self is really thinking!
12:30 p.m - 2:00 p.m. Lunch and break time
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Class time
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Campus Scavenger Hunts
6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Dinner Theater It's time to dress yourself up and see one of the award winning presentations from Faulkner's own Dinner Theater. This year's presentation is "Once Upon a Mattress."
