Upon arrival at Athens Airport, transfer to hotel/campus.

DAY 5, August 21 - TUESDAY: FULL DAY TOUR IN ATHENS

Faulkner University | Visiting Athens

08:00am we start our full day sightseeing tour in Athens Athens (Acts 17:16-34). The tour includes visits to Mars' Hill, Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum.

Lunch in local restaurant in Plaka.

Afternoon sightseeing drive of city center to view the highlights of the modern city of Athens before returning to campus.

DAY 6, August 22 - WEDNESDAY
DAY 7, August 23 - THURSDAY: FULL DAY TOUR IN ATHENS

08:00am we visit the ancient Agora. See the Doric Temple of Hephaestus (or Thesseion) and the Stoa of Attalos, an arcade built by Attalos II, king of Pergamum, used as a retail market. We also visit the Roman forum with the Tower of the Winds.

Lunch in local restaurant in Monastiraki.

Afternoon visit to the National Archaeological Museum, then return back to campus.

Afternoon drive to Cape Sounion to visit the Doric white marble Temple of Poseidon that overlooks the Aegean Sea, Also famous for its radiant sunsets.

DAY 18, September 03 - MONDAY: CORINTH - ACROCORINTH - CENCHREAE - TOLO

Faulkner University | Visiting Corinth

08.00am Drive west from Athens, first short stop at the Corinth Canal.
Next ancient Corinth Corinth (Acts 18:1-18). Here, we see all of the sites associated with the Apostle Paul's ministry: the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Bema and Gallio's Seat. Also wee the archaeological museum.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Then drive up to Acrocorinth. Continue our journey to see the ruins of early Christian 5th century basilica in Cenchreae Check-in at the hotel in Tolo. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 19, September 04 - TUESDAY: TOLO - MYCENAE - EPIDAURUS - NAFPLION - OLYMPIA

Faulkner University | Visiting Mycenae

Check-out. Visit the ancient Theater of Epidaurus, the largest, best preserved ancient Theater in Greece, famous for its amazing acoustics. Then drive to Mycenae, where we visit the remains of the prehistoric citadel fortified with the Cyclopean Walls, the Lionesses' Gate, the remains of the Mycenaean Palace and the Tomb of King Agamemnon.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Mycenae. Drive to Olympia. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 20, September 05 - WEDNESDAY: ANCIENT OLYMPIA - ATHENS

Faulkner University | Visiting Olympia

Check-out. Visit Ancient Olympia which holds the stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 BC. Thereafter they were held every 4 years.
Visit also the archaeological museum.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we drive back to Athens.

DAY 29, September 14 - FRIDAY: FLY FROM ATHENS TO IZMIR (Smyrna)

10:00am Transfer to Athens airport for flight PC 806 departing at 01:05pm, arriving in Izmir at 02:00pm.
You will be met by your bus and guide, visit the ancient Agora and Alexander the Greats "Velvet Castle" overlooking the bay of Izmir (Rev 1:11, 2:8).
Drive to Pergamon for dinner and overnight.
DAY 30, September 15 - SATURDAY: PERGAMON - THYATIRA

Faulkner University | Visiting Pergamon

Drive to Pergamum (Rev 1:11, 2:12). Here we explore the Acropolis, the steepest theatre in the world, the Asklepieion, see the Altar of Zeus, the Temple of Trajan and Library. Also the Red Basilica (St. John's Church). Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to Thyatira (Acts 16:14, Rev 1:11, 2:18-24), was a city famous for purple dyes. We visit the remains of a basilica and some architectural fragments from the Roman period. Return to the hotel in Pergamon for dinner and overnight.
DAY 31, September 16 - SUNDAY: IZMIR - SARDIS - PHILADELPHIA - HIERAPOLIS - LAODICEA - HIERAPOLIS

Check-out. Today we visit Sardis (Rev 1:11, 3:1-4), visit the great Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Cybele, which became a Byzantine Church.
At Philadelphia (Rev 1:11, 2:12), we see the remains of a Byzantine basilica and some 11th century frescoes. Lunch at a local restaurant.
At Laodicea (Col 2:1, 4:13-16, Rev 1:11,3:14), we see the ancient theatre and the remains of basilica.
In Hierapolis (Col 4:13) we visit the Martyrium of the Apostle Philip where he was martyred during the persecutions ordered by Domitian. We visit the Gate of Domitian, the Arcadian Way, the 2nd century AD Theatre, the Nymphaion, the Temple of Apollo, the Plutonium and the Necropolis.
Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
DAY 32, September 17 - MONDAY: PAMUKKALE - KUSADASI - EPHESUS

Check-out. Drive to ancient Ephesus (Acts 18:19-24, 19:1-35) where the Apostle Paul preached to the Ephesians and lived here for three years. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the Theatre. The Temple of Diana of the Ephesians, another of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, was built in this city.
We also visit the Basilica of St. John and the Ephesus museum. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 33, September 18 - TUESDAY: KUSADASI - EMBARK CRUISE - PATMOS, GREECE

Check-out
09.00am Transfer from hotel to embark on the cruise-ship docked at Kusadasi port. You will be met by an assistant who will assist with embarkation and hold an orientation meeting on board before sailing.
Noon - Sail for Patmos, Greece. Lunch on board ship.
At 4:00 p.m. Arrive at Patmos (Rev 1:9). Disembarkation by tender-boats. Take a tour to visit this rocky island where the Apostle John was exiled to. We visit the Monastery of John the Evangelist and the Grotto of the Revelation where John the Evangelist wrote the Book of Revelation.
At 9:00 p.m. Sail for Rhodes. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 34, September 19 - WEDNESDAY: RHODES
Faulkner University | Visiting Rhodes
07:00 a.m. We arrive at Rhodes (Acts 21:1). In ancient times, the Colossus of Rhodes was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This stronghold was built by a Crusading Order, which originated from Palestine. Our tour takes us to visit the Temple of Athena on the majestic rocky Acropolis of Lindos, with the blue Aegean Sea beneath it and the sophisticated whitewashed artists' colony at its foot. Local tradition has it, that Paul's ship on it way to Rome, spent some time in the small harbour. After a walking tour through the medieval city, return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free in Rhodes. Sail at 6:00 p.m. for Heraklion Crete. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 35, September 20 - THURSDAY: HERAKLION, CRETE - SANTORINI, GREECE

07:00 a.m. Arrive at Heraklion Crete (Acts 27:8, Titus 1:5). Take tour to visit the Minoan Palace of Knossos, legendary home of the Minotaur. Return to the cruise-ship.
At 11:30 a.m. Sail for Santorini. Lunch on board.
At 4:30 p.m. Arrive in Santorini. Disembarkation by tender-boats.
Take a mule or a donkey or the cable car up to the white-washed town of Thira; perched high on the rim of the ancient volcano.
09:00 p.m. Sail for Piraeus, Athens. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 36, September 21 - FRIDAY: PIRAEUS - ATHENS

07:30am we disembark from the ship in Piraeus port and transfer to campus.

DAY 46, October 01 - MONDAY: ATHENS - DELPHI - KALAMBAKA

Faulkner University | Visiting Delphi

08:00am depart for Delphi, the centre of the Ancient world, the "omphalos" (navel) of the earth.
Visit the site and museum at Delphi.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Drive to Kalambaka.
Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka.

DAY 47, October 02 - TUESDAY: KALAMBAKA - METEORA - VERGINA - PELLA - THESSALONIKI

Faulkner University | Visiting Kalambaka

Check-out. In the morning we visit two of the monasteries at Meteora.
Continue drive north to the site Vergina, the first capital of Macedonia, where the tomb of Philip II of Macedonia, the father of Alexander the Great was found.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Then we visit Pella, the capital of the ancient Macedonian State and birthplace of Alexander the Great.
Drive to Thessaloniki. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 48, October 03 - WEDNESDAY: THESSALONIKI - AMPHIPOLIS - PHILIPPI - KAVALA - THESSALONIKI

Faulkner University | Visiting Amphipolis

First short stop at the Lion statue of Amphipolis.(Acts 17:1)
Continue to Philippi (Acts 20:1-6), the site where the apostle Paul came and worked, establishing a strong church. See the river where Lydia is thought to have been baptized, the ruins of a Prison where Paul and Sylas had been kept and the Agora. Drive to Kavala (Acts 16:11), the ancient port of Neapolis. Lunch at a local restaurant in Kavala.
Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 49, October 04 - THURSDAY: THESSALONIKI - BEREA - DION - ATHENS

Faulkner University | Visiting Berea

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. We have a bus panoramic tour of Thessaloniki (Acts 17:1-13,) before going to Berea(Acts 17:10-13,). Then drive to Dion, on the lower slopes of Mount Olympus, the home of the ancient Greek gods. Commence drive south to Athens. Lunch at a local restaurant.
We stop at Thermopylae, to see the statue of Leonidas. It commemorates the historic battle between the 300 Spartans led by Leonidas and the Persian army of Xerxes in 480 BC composed of thousands.
Return to Athens.

Day 61: October 16 - TUESDAY: CAESAREA MARITIMA - MEGGIDO - TIBERIAS

Drive via the coast; visit Caesarea to see the vast archeological excavations including the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Visit Megiddo, an ancient city along the Via Maris. Then continue to the Sea of Galilee and the Tiberias area for dinner and overnight
Day 62: October 17 - WEDNESDAY: GALILEE - JESUS BOAT - CAPERNAUM - TABGHA - MT. OF BEATITUDES - TEL AZOUR - TIBERIAS

Faulkner University | Visiting the Sea of Galilee

Drive to the Sea of Galilee for a boat ride from Tiberias to Nof Ginosar. Visit the ancient boat "The Yigal Alon Museum". Continue to Capernaum, located here are the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the site of Peter's house. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fish and see fish mosaics from the 5th century Byzantine basilica. After lunch drive to the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the "Sermon on the Mount". Travel through the Upper Galilee to visit Tel Hazor. Then continue to hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
DAY 63: October 18 - THURSDAY: CANA - NAZARETH - MT. TABOR - JERUSALEM

Faulkner University | Visiting Cana

Drive to Cana, the site of Jesus' first miracle. Continue to visit Nazareth where Jesus spent his early years and visit Mary's Well and the Church of the Annunciation. Then drive to Mt. Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration. Then continue to Jerusalem to Hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 64: October 19 - FRIDAY: MT. OF OLIVES - CHRISTIAN SITES - BETHLEHEM

Faulkner University | Visiting the Mount of Olives

We start from the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of the entire city. Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane via the Palm Sunday Route. In the Christian Quarter we visit St. Ann's crusader church, the Lithostrotos, Antonia Fortress, the Via Dolorosa and finish at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Then continue to Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity, and below it the cave-stable of Jesus birth. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 65: October 20 - SATURDAY: JERUSALEM - JEWISH QUARTER

Faulkner University | Visiting the Jewish Quarter

Enjoy the panoramic view of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount then visit the Room of the last Supper and David's Tomb. Continue by foot in the Walled City. In the Jewish Quarter we see the Cardo and Western (Wailing) Wall. Visit the tunnels under the wailing wall. Then to City of David to see the Pool of Siloam and visit Hezikiah's Tunnel. End the day with a service at the Garden Tomb. Back to hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 66: October 21 - SUNDAY: MASADA - DEAD SEA

Faulkner University | Visiting Masada

After breakfast drive to Masada for visit, also opportunity for swim in the Dead Sea.
Day 67: October 22 - MONDAY: TEL AVIV - FLY TO ATHENS

03:30am - Transfer from our hotel to Tel Aviv airport.
