THE AMERICAN TRADITION IN LITERATURE EH 2304

Course Premise

The course offers students a chronological survey of writers beginning with Walt Whitman through the current American Writers. Students will examine each writer's background and work toward understanding American philosophical, educational, political, and religious developments as they reflected in the Literature.
