Considering Computer and Information Science?

Computer and Information Science (CSIS) is intended for the student who does not want a stronger theoretical and hardware emphasis as that of his/her CS counterpart, but rather a strong emphasis on software systems (and programming) from their analysis through design, implementation, project management, evaluation, and social and ethical impact.  It focuses on the problem solving skills and techniques needed to provide computer-based software solutions to practical problems, integrating fundamental practical knowledge in the fields of software engineering, database systems, programming languages, computer networks, and project management for software development.
